While working with racers I find that transition between turns is often a problem. Here I attempt to demonstrate a good transition - leg flexion allowing for skis to cross under while the torso crosses over the skis resulting in a good extesion in phase-1 above the fall line. I use stiff 190 cm GS skis here.
This is a GS drill progression from “3 by 3 rhythm changes” on the flat slope to the same drill at higher speed on a steeper slope. At first we look for really clean edges and engagement of the tip of the ski. This drill develops fast re-centering, coordination and feel for the skis. I do it here on 191 cm GS skis.
